Aged skeleton
This started out as a common store bought plastic skeleton. We put it through our 'aging' process (not corpsing) and made it look slightly rotted. We started off by applying faux blood drips on the facial areas, along with a smear on the chest. Next, a mixture of wood stains, applied to the bones, helped give the skeleton an old rotting look. Finally, we coated the skeleton in polyurethane and fire-retardant coating, to protect the product from the elements.
"FRESHLY DUG" AGED SKULL
This product started out as a simple store bought foam skull. First, we added some blood drips from the eyes and nose areas. Then, we coated it with a heavy mixture of woodstains, Mod-Podge, and various spray paints. Later, we soaked some crepe paper in that mixture and applied it to the skull to create "dirt patches". Finally, it got a heavy coating of polyurethane and fire retardant coating to protect it from the elements.
Hunchback reaper
The basis for this prop was a 7' wood pole mounted on a plywood base, with a pvc armspan. We then dipped burlap in a mixture of spackle compound and black paint, and hung it over the armature. Finally, we mounted one of our aged skulls on top.
Air cannon
This is a very basic prop found in many haunted displays. When triggered, the valve opens and air (from your tank or compressor) blasts out in a noisy explosion. This is one of the most effective startle scares used in a haunted event. Usually is attached to an auxiliary tank, with a timer and a motion sensor.
